Designed specifically to use the Creative Chenillove yarn by Rico Designs, this plush baby blanket works up quickly and is sized to go from crib to toddler bed and beyond. The pattern has been adapted from the Meadow square in the Granny Square Stitches Card Deck and you can find a tutorial for this stitch on the Knot Just Yarn YouTube channel here https://youtu.be/O5zR0XvEuuI

Any confident beginner can tackle this pattern. There is a stitch chart included in the PDF for visual learners.Note: due to the nature of working with a chenille yarn, your stitches may be harder to see and therefore beginner crocheters should take the advice of the designer and use stitch markers to denote their first and last stitches of each row.

The pattern calls for 7 balls of Creative Chenillove in three different colours. You will need 2 balls of Colour A, 2 balls of Colour B, and 3 balls of Colour C (includes border). Specific yardages are given inside the pattern which will be useful if you are substituting another bulky weight yarn.

Creative Chenillove is a bulky weight, chenille yarn that does not fall apart while you crochet with it and frogs beautifully without dropping fluff everywhere.

Finished sample blanket size is approximately 32" x 47".

Note: While gauge is not important for this project, your blanket size may differ depending on your personal tension and gauge.

Other items needed to complete this blanket:
- 5.5mm Crochet hook

- (optional) 6.0mm Crochet hook for your starting chain)

- scissors

- stitch markers (optional but handy)

- Yarn needle (with big enough eye for the bulky yarn)

- (optional) flexible measuring tape
