Service Description

Corner to Corner blankets use simple stitches which make them perfect for beginners. They also work up reasonably quickly which makes them much loved with the more advanced crocheters too. In this class, Kim from Frog and Stitch will teach you the C2C stitch pattern for this particular blanket by having you work up a swatch in the first class. Since you do not work in rows or rounds. getting the hang of how you build up your blanket from one corner to the opposite one can be a bit mind bending at first. Once you "get it" the rest of the blanket comes easily. For this swatch, if you want to turn it into a washcloth please bring or buy some 100% cotton yarn. Your fee includes: - 8 balls of Anthem Worsted Weight yarn in the colour of your choice. (Instructions for choosing your blanket colour will be emailed to you once registration is confirmed. All class fees must be PAID IN FULL before any yarn is ordered for you) - written instructions - video links - FREE admission to the following Wednesday WIP nights; November 12th, 19th & 26th. Other materials you need to make this blanket: - 5.00mm crochet hook (or whatever size you need to get the drape you desire). - scissors - yarn needle Class structure: Week One (Nov 4) - introduction to the pattern by making a swatch/wash cloth. This teaches you how to start, how to increase, and how to decrease the pattern. Week two (Nov 18) - a working week or a time to ask questions. We will review how to decrease and look at border options. Week Three (Nov 25) - working time if needed or time to show off your finished blanket and celebrate a job well done. There is no pressure to be finished! We will celebrate your progress no matter what. **Please note: there is no class on Remembrance Day (November 11th) and November 5th is a Washcloth Wednesday so there is no WIP drop in that night. Since we are running this class concurrently with the Waffle Blanket class, we are limiting the number of students per blanket to 6.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and sometimes you can't make it to class. Our classes are very popular and our instructors have already put in many hours of their time prepping each class before we even post them for registration. To respect their time, expertise, and efforts, we ask if you must cancel your entire class registration that you do so at your earliest convenience. Any cancellation requests that are made less than 24 hours before the start of the first class in a series of classes, or after a course has started, or within 24 hours of a workshop/event will not be granted. Cancellation requests made with more than 24 hours notice of the start of the class or event will be processed at our earliest convenience less a 10% admin fee. If you have registered for a course and find you need to miss one or more of the class dates, alternate arrangements can be made to allow you to catch up. These may include but are not restricted to: emailed course materials like hand outs or instructional videos; one-on-one private instruction time to be arranged between you and the instructor (should the instructor offer such services); or free entry to a drop-in session should any happen to fall withing the scope of the class timeline.
