Service Description

Designed to be easy enough for our new 1.0 Graduates, yet with enough interest that anyone who knows how to crochet can enjoy making. The Waffle Stitch Blanket is our most popular blanket class! In this class you will learn the stitch pattern, how to change colours, and how to add a new ball of yarn seamlessly into your work. There are three class times where you can come to us with questions and where you can dedicate time to 'git 'er done'. Plus you can take advantage of FREE access to Wednesday night WIP nights on November 12th, 19th & 26th if you need more help or simply need to crochet away from the distractions of home. ** Please note; there is no class on Remembrance Day (November 11th) and November 5th is a Washcloth Wednesday, not a WIP Wednesday. In the first class we will teach you the pattern and get you comfortable with it. We will also show you how to make a colour change and attach a new ball of yarn. That way you can continue on at your own speed with all the skills you need. In the second class we will review how to make a colour change and attach a new ball of yarn, and check in on your progress. This is a great opportunity to ask questions. The last class is a combination "show off your blanket" and working night. There is NO pressure to be finished by this last class! We will celebrate you where you are. Instructor: Kim Yoshihara What your class fee includes: -12 balls of Anthem 4weight yarn (a $96 value!) in your choice of colours - instructions for choosing colours will be emailed to you after registration is confirmed - Full written instructions - Video tutorial What you need to have to complete your blanket: - a 5.00mm hook (or size needed to achieve the drape you want for your blanket - this will be explained in the first class) - scissors - a yarn needle to weave in your ends - optional: a tape measure to check gauge or if you are trying to make your blanket to a specific size The sample blanket is approximately 42"x36" and used 12 balls in 3 colours (Charcoal, Nimbus Cloud, and Denim). If you would like to make a larger blanket, please reach out so we can suggest how many extra balls of Anthem you should purchase. Since we are combining this class with the Corner to Corner class, we are limiting the space to 6 people only per blanket. Entire class fee MUST BE PAID before any yarn is ordered for you.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and sometimes you can't make it to class. Our classes are very popular and our instructors have already put in many hours of their time prepping each class before we even post them for registration. To respect their time, expertise, and efforts, we ask if you must cancel your entire class registration that you do so at your earliest convenience. Any cancellation requests that are made less than 24 hours before the start of the first class in a series of classes, or after a course has started, or within 24 hours of a workshop/event will not be granted. Cancellation requests made with more than 24 hours notice of the start of the class or event will be processed at our earliest convenience less a 10% admin fee. If you have registered for a course and find you need to miss one or more of the class dates, alternate arrangements can be made to allow you to catch up. These may include but are not restricted to: emailed course materials like hand outs or instructional videos; one-on-one private instruction time to be arranged between you and the instructor (should the instructor offer such services); or free entry to a drop-in session should any happen to fall withing the scope of the class timeline.
