Please read carefully as there are different registration options below. Written by Alison, and adapted from a Daisy Farm Crafts pattern, this stunning colourwork blanket is going to be your next Holiday Statement Piece. Don't let all the colour changes scare you. You only ever work with two colours at a time, pulling a third one up from the bottom as you go. To prevent unsightly yarn floats on the back of your work, you will carry the non-worked yarn with you and stitch over it, swapping back and forth in a clever manner that prevents yarn twisting. The vertical stripes of the dark grey are added with the use of bobbins which is demonstrated at the beginning of class. This is a large blanket so we will be taking our time with it. There will be working weeks with no new skills being taught to help you catch up, and your fee also includes three free WIP nights. WIP nights are evenings where we meet for a more relaxed and casual time to stitch together. These are predominantly social, but class instructors are usually available to help with specific issues. There are 5 WIP nights scheduled during the running of this class, you may come to three of them for FREE and book any others for a $6 fee (or use your WIP 10-pack if you have one). About this blanket: - The pattern has two size options - Throw (51x61” approx finished size) and Lapgan (38x50” approx finished size) - We will all be working with the same colours and yarn - Cascade Anthem yarn (worsted weight) in the colours Red, Chive, White, Jet, Silver, and Nimbus Cloud. - If you have a problem with either the yarn or the colours, please email Alison at alison@knotjustyarn.ca and we will see if alternate arrangements can be made. - Those that purchased the Blanket Kit during the Christmas in July event, your additional fee covers the classroom and instructor costs. - ** IMPORTANT ** Due to the cost of ordering in the yarn for this class, there will be NO REFUNDS if I have already placed the order with my supplier. You will receive the full kit of yarn and pattern plus a complimentary WIP 10-pack instead. (Yarn order will be placed on September 8th to ensure delivery before the class starts.) Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and sometimes you can't make it to class. Our classes are very popular and our instructors have already put in many hours of their time prepping each class before we even post them for registration. To respect their time, expertise, and efforts, we ask if you must cancel your entire class registration that you do so at your earliest convenience. Any cancellation requests that are made less than 24 hours before the start of the first class in a series of classes, or after a course has started, or within 24 hours of a workshop/event will not be granted. Cancellation requests made with more than 24 hours notice of the start of the class or event will be processed at our earliest convenience less a 10% admin fee. If you have registered for a course and find you need to miss one or more of the class dates, alternate arrangements can be made to allow you to catch up. These may include but are not restricted to: emailed course materials like hand outs or instructional videos; one-on-one private instruction time to be arranged between you and the instructor (should the instructor offer such services); or free entry to a drop-in session should any happen to fall withing the scope of the class timeline.
