Service Description

This is a pattern from Made by Gootie and Loophole Fox . It was a free CAL (Crochet-a-Long) last fall and is now available for free on the Loophole Fox and Made by Gootie blogs. Parts 1 - 6 https://theloopholefox.com/crochet-blanket-pattern-cal/ Parts 7-12 https://madebygootie.com/crochet/tranquility-blanket-free-crochet-pattern/ We are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING everyone to buy the pattern e-book so you can easily refer to it as you work. We will not be giving out any written instructions and, while Kim is filming her own tutorials for each section, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCESSING THE WRITTEN PATTERN ON YOUR OWN. Here is where you can buy the Pattern E-book for $15.99 US. https://madebygootie.thrivecart.com/tranquility-blanket-ebook/ Each pattern panel has it’s own skill level and all 12 panels range from CONFIDENT ADVANCED BEGINNER to INTERMEDIATE. THIS IS NOT FOR BEGINNER CROCHETERS! About this blanket: - This blanket has two size options - Throw (50x60”) and Lapgan (40x50”) - The Throw showcases all 12 pattern panels, while the Lapgan has just 10 - The blanket is made using 4 colours - three for the body, and the fourth for the border and transition rows between panels Class structure: - This is a 12 week class - Each week Kim will teach you a new pattern. In week one she will also teach you how to do a chainless foundation to start your blanket, and then demonstrate the first pattern. - Weeks 2 - 12 you will learn the new pattern via a swatch. If you are ready to add to your blanket you can start that in class, otherwise, once you are comfortable with the new pattern, you can continue to work on your blanket. Yarn and Yardage Requirements: - Kim is working up the sample blanket using Estelle Worsted yarn. This is a blend of 50% acrylic, 40% wool, and 10% nylon and is an incredibly soft and squishy yarn. - If you have a wool allergy/sensitivity we are also recommending Cascade Anthem, a 100% acrylic yarn that many of you are already familiar with. - Please see the attached images for yardage requirements and links to colour options. **As many of you know, yardage is directly associated with tension and as such the provided amounts may or may not meet your needs. - You are welcome to use your own yarn - Colour D is for the border and transition rows - There is a small amount of Colour B used in the border Additional Supplies needed: - 5.00mm Crochet hook (or one to reach gauge) - Stitch markers - Tapestry needle - Scissors

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and sometimes you can't make it to class. Our classes are very popular and our instructors have already put in many hours of their time prepping each class before we even post them for registration. To respect their time, expertise, and efforts, we ask if you must cancel your entire class registration that you do so at your earliest convenience. Any cancellation requests that are made less than 24 hours before the start of the first class in a series of classes, or after a course has started, or within 24 hours of a workshop/event will not be granted. Cancellation requests made with more than 24 hours notice of the start of the class or event will be processed at our earliest convenience less a 10% admin fee. If you have registered for a course and find you need to miss one or more of the class dates, alternate arrangements can be made to allow you to catch up. These may include but are not restricted to: emailed course materials like hand outs or instructional videos; one-on-one private instruction time to be arranged between you and the instructor (should the instructor offer such services); or free entry to a drop-in session should any happen to fall withing the scope of the class timeline.
